Multi-vendor marketplaces, like ThemeForest, can be very successful. Chose a niche and create a vendor website for it. Your marketplace could be anything, from a platform for local artists to sell their work on, to an online digital product store. Once set up, invite people in that industry to sell their products on your site. You take a percentage of their profits when items sell.
There are many ways to get people onto your list. Lead magnets are one such resource. For example, you can build ebooks, checklists and cheat sheets. But you can also do content upgrades, such as PDF versions of an article with added resources in them, four-part video training series, and more. Think about your audience and what you can offer them to better serve them, then treat them with some respect and you'll eventually reap the rewards.
My situation is I’m a Professor and Program Director for a Community College teaching massage therapy, a very in-demand field yet my college does little marketing. It’s my job to recruit students. I have a Facebook page and Twitter, and about 100+ followers on each. Can you see this type of system with funnels etc. working to help recruit potential students? If so, how? Thanks for the tip on gravity numbers. I knew that gravity was a way to tell how popular a product is and if it was selling or not, but I didn’t know what type of numbers we should be looking for. My initial products chosen were certainly not chosen on the basis of gravity because I had no idea what it is! CB can definitely be a place to make some money, but one must be very careful to choose a good product. A new marketer might not always be able to tell the difference.

As for tracking the ROI usually you’ll want to track campaigns in Google analytics and track clicks on affiliate links as event and average value/email or you’ll want to duplicate the post and run paid traffic to the duplicate so you know exactly what the conversions are as you can put them in separate email lists etc too.

Find work. When you first start out, you may have to accept work writing about a topic you don’t find all that interesting. You must keep an open mind and be willing to accept work that may not be in your desired field. However, as you continue to write, you not only learn about more topics, but you also build your reputation. With time, you can be choosier about assignments you want to accept.[19]

These are easy, cost-effective ways to build an audience and test your niche to see if there’s demand for it.
